Welcome...
The Old Barn Holiday Cottage is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway in the countryside.
Situated on the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, the market towns of Louth and Horncastle are very nearby. Head to Woodhall Spa, with its open-air swimming pool and the Kinema in the Woods. Lincolnshire’s spectacular coast and seaside towns are also close by; and of course, the beautiful city of Lincoln is just a short drive away. There you will find the stunning medieval cathedral and the castle, which is home to a copy of the Magna Carta. On your travels, make sure you keep an eye out for the Red arrows flying overhead. |

Beautiful decorated cottage with all the creature comforts you could need. The views from the cottage are incredible and you can't beat stargazing in the hot tub. The owner, Angela, is lovely and could not have done more for us. We will definitely be back!

Eat...
Enjoy fresh, local produce in idyllic rural surroundings. Visit Myers Bakery to pick up some Lincolnshire Plum Bread, or head to Alford where Lincolnshire’s famous Poacher Cheese is made. Perhaps you'd like to wake up to fresh eggs from our very own hand reared chickens!
Whatever you choose, a trip to the Old Barn Cottage should definitely involve eating some great food. And you'll definitely earn it after a day of walking in the surrounding countryside. |
Explore...
You'll be staying right in the heart of some of England's most beautiful countryside. Step out the front door and immediately discover what inspired Tennyson to write some of his most beautiful and poignant verse.
The beautiful English countryside has always inspired daydreams of romantic rolling green hills, sleepy stone villages and cobbled streets in historic market towns. All this and more can be found in the Lincolnshire Wolds. And when you're done exploring for the day, the porch provides the perfect space to abandon your walking boots. Find out more about local walks and activities here. |
Sleep...
Our two king sized bedrooms can sleep a family of four, or, if you like, two couples. Both rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with ample wardrobe space so you can properly unpack and really make yourself at home. We have plenty of fresh towels available in both rooms so you can make maximum use of the hot tub as well as the shower.
|
Cook...
The Old Barn Cottage has a stylish, fully fitted kitchen complete with an electric cooker hob, microwave and oven. You'll find all the cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery you could ever need; plus plenty of larder space to store all your fresh produce; whether you're bringing it with you or buying locally.
